We've been to the Cilantro Grill in Westmont a few times and they've always been enjoyable visits.

They serve Mexican standards - tacos, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, etc., but the focus is a series of imaginative entrees, such as

Arrachera Arriera: Carne asada with chayotes al cilantro, roastedebollitas, and garlic potatoes, grilled cebollitas, and roasted Poblano rice.

Poblano: Grilled fish served with creamy Poblano salsa, Mexican rice and roasted Poblano potatoes.

Pollo en Mole: You know what that is!

and more.

The Insalada de la Casa is their version of a taco salad and is very good - tasty greens, good avocado, etc. Makes any other taco salad look pretty lame.

Everything is very well prepared. The seasonings are excellent. Homemade tortillas.

If you order the guacamole appetizer, they prepare it fresh at your table, and you can tell them how much Jalapeno, salt, tomato, onion, etc., to put into it.

Last time they had a killer pico de gallo which they served along with the chips and salsa.

The decor is clean and bright with low-key decoration. Service if friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt.

If you live in this area and like Mexican food, I can't encourage you strongly enough to try this place!
