Greetings all:
As far as pizza, and I know that this will start a swarm of
controversy, I would suggest Gino's East Pizzeria, a stone's throw from the Water Tower Mall complex, despite the rundown interioir (which my chicago native Mom says adds to the character), the food is very very reasonable, and very very good. Best pizza I've had.
If you are more in the mood for exotic Eastern, try Shilla restaurant,
on the north side (accessible via car) where they have great Korean and Japanese. they just converted to a $15 buffet where they have Korean dishes as well as limited sushi selection for this very reasonable price.
enjoy, and i'd love to hear how the trip went,
midwesterner at hear (b&r in St Louis)
