Good Cajun Food?
That restaurant in Lemont is the Strand. Very good food, no liquor license but it is BYOB. to e-mail change the 2001 to 2000
RJ, It's probably the Strand Cafe. I personally wouldn't call it excellent, though. We went once and it was ok. RJ S. wrote: >There's an odd little place in Lemont that excellent. I've only had cajun food at one restaurant so I have no real basis for comparison, but from the response it got from my dinner companions I'd say that Louisiana Kitchen is pretty good. It is on Halsted, just south of Diversey by about three blocks. It is almost directly across the street from that big Chernin's shoe store. We recently went back a second time because we liked it a lot, and to our delight they had a live jazz trio playing to entertain the weekend crowd! The nice ambiance, decent food, and no wait to be seated all made for a lovely time.
