Try Reza's, about a block north of Cousins. IMHO, better food, better atmosphere.

To forestall confusion - Brian is refering to the Andersonville location. Reza's also has a River North location, and Cousin's a Lakeview location.

Brian is right about Reza's being very good, but I am a Cousin's fan as well, so if you are in Lakeview, Cousin's is a good choice for Mediterranean and vegetarian cuisine.

and for yet another recommendation for a Middle-Eastern place in Andersonville--try Kan Zaman on the block of Clark just north of Foster on the west side of the street--just across the street from Cousin's. eaten there several times and the food is very good--their cous-cous dishes and mediterranean stir-frys are a little different from what you get at the other places mentioned....

Yes, Cousin's is an excellent Turkish place. One page of the menu is vegetarian. It's not terribly pricey. They have the best homus I've ever had at a Chicago restaurant. Good service, too.

Cheers,

Rob

P.S. Cousin's in on Broadway just north of Diversey.

Andies is one of the small gems of Andersonville.
