Greetings,
I would like to start off by admitting that my first
recommendation may be somewhat biased; I am a waiter at the Bistro.
1. Bacchus's Bistro and Wine Bar (changing in June to Pierre's
Bistro. Same everything, new name) We have a 7 page wine list with a wide selection of wines from many regions and in most price ranges. All our wine is sold at state minimum retail (i.e. no 'corkage fee' or other restaraunt markup) Our menu changes monthly with the new menu theme reflecting the bimonthly-changing artwork from local artists. Daily specials. Made latest top ten list by local 'Grumpy Gourmet.' Open for lunch Tuesday-Friday and dinner Tuesday-Saturday. (614)481-WINE
2. Lindy's. Excellent restaraunt in the Historic German Village
area. Excellent food and service. Wonderful specials.
3. For fun: the original Wendy's. On Broad Street downtown.
4. For atmosphere: The Kahiki. Consistently rated one of the top
ten polynesian restaraunts in the universe. The building an decor alone are reason enough to go.
5. For the view: One Nation. This restaraunt is perched atop the
Nationwide building downtown. Access is via a glass elevator which clings to the outside wall. Never eaten here, but hear it's fun.
6. To smoke cigars: Morton's of Chicago. Also never eaten here,
but have heard consistent rave reviews. Across from the Nationwide building, downtown.
Ask for me if you drop by Bacchus's/Pierre's
peace,
