There is actually another place called Las Tablas on Lincoln Ave., a few blocks south of Belmont. Reasonably priced steaks and chicken. It's good if you are into the South American steak thing.

I dont know if you'd call it dining, but there's a small new place named La Kayana on the 4600 block of N Lincoln. It has only four tables. The owners were eager to please when I was there. They seemed surprised that I wanted to order Columbian food instead of Mexican. They recommended the Columbian tamal, which was very good. My friend, of course, had a burrito which he said was also good. It was a veggie one and looked mnore interesting than most I have seen.

I'm surpised you all have not mentioned "pollo bravas" or something like that, I think it means flying chicken. My wife and I used to just call it "the Columbian Chicken place." It's on Lincoln just north of Irving. It used to be on Lincoln, near Diversey (near the original Muskie's).

All they serve is chicken. But what chicken. It's slow roasted over mesquite charcol gaining amazing flavor. This place is the yin to Boston Chicken's yang (or is that the other way around). On the side they serve maybe the best plain white rice in the city. Also great potatoes and red beans. To wash this all down, get a Columbian "Champaign" cola. It tastes a littel like cream soda.

Sorry I can not remember the name of the place, but trust me, it's great.
