I was just there. I liked the food quite a bit. The Bel Puri (sp?) was especially good. They are closing for several weeks for vacation. I think that they may already be closed, in fact. They re-open some time in mid-march if I'm not mistaken.

Chowpatti is an Indian vegetarian restaurant in Arlington Heights. I haven't been there for a while either but I also remember it as being decent. Huge menu, pleasant surroundings, friendly service, variable food (some things were very good). If you're looking for good Indian veg, I'd recommend Udupi Palace or Dasaprakash both on Devon. Both serve exclusively south Indian vegetarian food. Things you don't see on most (northern) Indian menus like rasam, iddly, sambar, oothappam, vadai, coconut chutney, etc. Udupi has a more extensive and informative menu but I prefer Dasaprakash for their more authoritative spicing.
