Bishop's is an acquired taste, it seems. I don't care for it either. Don't know of any good chili places out here. Taylor's Chili in Carlinville used to be very good. Dave

Chili in the west burbs?
The best chili I have ever had in a restaurant is found in the far Northwest Suburbs in Algonquin. The place is called The Texan. If you are looking for real, authentic, hot, no bean, all meat chili; this is the place. This is a real texan restaurant with smoke house on site. The beef and pork there are excellent. The ribs are also probably the best I have had in a restaurant. In the late 80's and early 90's they even sponsored annual chili fests. I highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed. It is located on RT. 31, 1 block north of RT.62 (Algonquin Rd). Pat Cox Someone wrote: > Anyone know of a place to get good, HOT chili in the Downers > Grove/Naperville area?
