You didn't specify what type of cuisine so these are a couple of my recommendations: Brassierre Joes -- french, new, hip, lively, good wine list Topolobambo -- southwest, killer!, I love this place Tuttapusto -- mediterranean, really nice, creative -terry [email removed] (Terry McGinnis)

Chicago Recommendations
The Parthon in greektown is one of my fav's it is not fancy but great food. Rosebud has great Italian (will cost a few $$) huge portions, so you can share a dish. no visit to chicago would be complete without an italian beef sandwich-go to MR Beef on Orleans north of Ohio. For more healthy meal try the heart healthy cafe on Mich Ave (actually just off the street-in the building just south of the marriott)

In spite of the corny name, these restaurants serve good food, provide excellent service, and give good value for the money. Recently I was in one of their newest, Brasserie Jo on Hubbard. This is an Alsation restaurant, which serves a tolerable choucroute alsacienne, and those great perfumy Alsation wines. I had onion tart for appetizer and a wonderful chocolate laced bread pudding for dessert. Very heavy fare, but delicious. I took half of it all home to my wife, who loved it. Howard
I will endorse Mark's recommendations and add a couple: Frontera Grill - Just ate at Topolobombo (sic?) Frontera's fancier sibling, it was great! Brassiere Joe - A little heavy but worth it. Tuttapusto - Don't skip dessert! Gordon - Never disappointed there. Trio - A real treat in Evanston. -terry [email removed] (Terry McGinnis)
