If you really want to stay near the train station, then there are a few choices. One is a place called the West Egg Diner, but unfortunately I am not sure what the precise address is. All I know is that it's within reasonable walking distance. Also, at Presidential Towers at Madison and Jefferson (?), there is a place called Reza's opening up. If it's anything like their north side location, then it's a pretty good Iranian restaurant. However, the last time I was there (a few years ago), they weren't taking credit cards.

Hope this helps.

Another good restaurant near the train station is Lou Mitchell's. I think it is on Jackson St., west of the station. It is mainly a breakfast place, with great eggs, omelets, skillets, etc., and I think it serves breakfast all day. It is a Chicago institution.
