Each time my steak had a tendon or piece of gristle that ran through the whole steak. A friend of mine reports the same experience. They pack them in and people rave about it so I chalk this up in the category of 'maybe its just me' but there's enough good steak houses around that I'll head somewhere else instead. > Gibson's Steaks are good but I've never felt comfortable there. Don't get me wrong - service, food, etc. were all good - there weren't any major gaffes, it was just a sort of feeling. Maybe it's the Rush Street vibe since I was never really into that scene (and I guess I'm still not). Last time we were there my friend valet'd his car and it was returned to him with a parking ticket! He had to go in and have a few words with the management who ended up giving him the cash to cover the ticket. Of course the valet service is not really part of the restaurant, just a contracted service, but that didn't finish off the 'dining experience' too well. > Butcher Shop? That's one of my friend's favorite places. I'm not too keen on it since part of the "gimmick" is that you can cook the steak yourself. I can cook all kinds of things myself but, by going out to a restaurant, I've made a deliberate choice to have someone else cook for me. The steak dinners I've had there have all been good but I wouldn't rate the Butcher Shop in the top echelon of steak houses. > > Second question (reply privately so we don't tarnish the group): are > you satisfied with Telocity?
