So I have finally found the least expensive, cleanest, most good food, best selection, lunchtime Chinatown restaurant.

Happy Cafe
2351 S. Wentworth
312-842-1818

Next door to the Chinatown library and Post Office.

Huge lunch specials menu. Probably fifty items to choose from. All from 3.50-4.25. Includes Rice, Thin Rice Noodles, or fat rice noodles, and a pot of tea.

Unless I want better ambiance, or a dim sum menu, there's no reason for me to go to any other restaurant for lunch.

At dinner time all the same items just go up a buck more.

Smoking is allowed.
