The most direct route would be Halsted to Chicago, Chicago to LaSalle. It's on the east side of LaSalle just south of Chicago. Fairly casual, no jacket or tie required. Reservations are strongly recommended. My sister went there on a bitterly cold January night and had to wait an hour for a table because they were so busy.
