Bistro Pacific
Bistro Pacific, which hides effectively on the first floor of the Playboy
building in Streeterville, is worth finding. A sushi house-cum-pan-Asian restaurant, it's a calm spot for a quiet dinner. It also has an elegant bar for sushi and a drink. From the sushi menu, I found the tuna as fresh as any in the city, and the fresh-water eel full of flavor. On the main menu, the appetizers really stand out. Try the Korean scallion and scallop pancakes, which were delicious, the light and sweet steamed shrimp dumplings and the tender chicken satay. The entrees include heavier dishes, such as orange peel (deep fried) beef and basil chicken. The dessert is always a special, and we were delighted with banana and white chocolate chips fried inside a wonton, covered in cinnamon and sugar, with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. Altogether, a welcome bargain in the neighborhood. (Victoria Wells)

I work in the area and have eaten there many times. Way too many times. It is exceptionally lame. I haven't had much sushi there, but have to imagine there are better places to have sushi. Their Thai and Chinese dishes are so bland and generally bad that I can't imagine they do sushi well. They do have a few good dishes - the Bibim Bob is ok, one of my co-workers like the Basil Chicken I think.
