Good backing-powder biscuits are an important compliment and the combination, when done right, is divine! The best place I've found is Pauline's Country Cooking at Ravenswood and Balmoral on Chicago's north side. Go early to avoid the breakfast crowd. Pauline's isn't open for evening service.
