If you like the Duke of Perth, you should *love* The Red Lion, 2446 N. Lincoln, Chicago (773) 348-2695. Great UK pub food, fish & chips, Bangers & Mash, pasties, ploughmans lunch, Shepard's pie, steak & kidney pie, etc. Plus they have Cider and Guinness on tap.

Ever been to Garrett Ripley's in River North? I swear they have the best artichoke dip I've ever had, and Dominic and Steve are always entertaining. If anyone in my hood ever asks for pub food/cheap eats recos I send them there. Theresa

Moody's 5910 N Broadway 773 275-2696 I'm not so sure it is the food which draws me to Moody's. The food is pretty good, but the ambiance is great - a very comfortable beer garden where one is not crammed into a tiny pen with fifty other Trixies and Tushars in the summer, and a nice fireplace in the winter. Jury's 4337 N. Lincoln 773 935-2255 Has the best pub grub I've had in Chicago. But then again, I actually enjoyed a meal at the TGIF's in the Newark airport recently, so my opinion is probably suspect, at best.
