Not to be overlooked, among all of the fine establishments selling gyros in the city, is the Marquette Restaurants (many locations) - the one I like best is on the north side of Adams between Wacker and Franklin (just across from the north side of the Sears Tower) - The pita is always fresh, the meat is cooked the perfect balance between juicy and crispy, and the yaourti (sp?) has loads of garlic. Major good stuff. And if you dine in, you get free slices of watermelon for dessert - Sajjad L. wrote: > I like Zorba's gyros (Jackson and Halsted). > > I believe that the Gyro "block" itself is obtained from a common > wholesaler who supplies many restaurants. > > Sajjad > > Someone wrote: > : I'm looking for the *best* gyros in the Chicago metro > : area. >
