It's wonderful. They get the general German-ness right without being hopelessly stuck in the past. I've been there twice and had the Thuringer wurst both times. It was wonderful, quite possibly as perfect a sausage preparation as you'll ever find. The kraut was fine, too, and topped with a delicious little slice of bacon, which I'm sure you'd appreciate. The potato salad was modernized but tasty, though I still prefer Resi's version.

True to their name, they also know that Oktoberfest calls for Bavarian beers, and had 3 or 4 on tap--Paulaner, Hofbrau, etc. Beck's, which is a north German brew, was nowhere to be found, happily. :-)

All in all, it more than makes up for the loss of the late lamented Beer Palace.
