I don't know what system gives five stars. I don't believe L'Guide Michellin gives that many. The only top rated one I have been fortunate to eat in was in London just before it got it last star. La Gavroche (if I remember the name right). They are very tough on US restaurants. In Chicago, Le Francais continues under new management to be the best here IMO.

I'm not sure about which one are "worthy" but I know there are places in the US that have the 5 start rating. The "London Chop House" in Detroit used to have this rating but after a slight fall from grace, they closed down. About a month ago we ate at a place in Chicago called "Ambria" which also has a 5 star rating. It was very good!
