We were in Maui in March and really loved the Hula Grill. It's fairly new and on the beach at Whaler's Village. Delicious food and huge portions. In Kihei, A Pacific Cafe is not to be missed. We discovered this a few years ago, and returned on our last trip, and were not disappointed.

Roy's Kahana, as already mentioned, is wonderful. I felt Mama's Fish House was very overrated--nothing special, very expensive. Maui has too many wonderful places to bother with this one.

For a great lunch, try the poolside restaurant the Four Seasons Wailea. Gorgeous setting and the best food.
