Two recommendations from my travels to Atlanta:

  Buckhead Diner
 3073 Piedmont Road NE
 404/262-3336
The interior is exquisite in its detail. The food
is equal to the environment. Two of us spent weeks
trying to figure out how they make an
appetizer with Maytag Blue Cheese melted over homemade
potato chips - never mind how it sounds, just order it.

 Cafe Tu Tu Tango
 220 Phar Road NE
 404/841-6222
Way fun with limited outside dining, but the action is inside.
Tapas oriented menu with great sangria. You'll litter your table
with little plates and fight over the last piece on each of them.

You¹ll find additional recommendations on my web site.

what's your per diem? I'm a native, I can point out some choice spots.

Ritz Carlton Buckhead is very nice, as is Bacchanalia, but they're both tres expensive. If you have unlimited expense account, Bone's is supposed to be a great steakhouse (I don't care for steak, so I've never been :). Buckhead Diner is *very* nice, but there are better places in the city, and BD does not take reservations :(. If you have any specific cuisine or location requests, feel free to shoot...

I would recommend the Phoenix Brewing Co. at
     5600 Roswell Rd.
     The Prado Shopping Center
     Atlanta, GA 30305
     Phone: (404) 843-2739

Great menu and a great selection of beers. Plenty of parking.

I found the brewpubs in Buckhead to be too crowded and the food and beer weren't worth bothering with.

This opinion is based on three trips to Atlanta about two years ago.

I highly recommend "Nava" the chef there is Kevin Rathbun formerly of Baby Routh in Dallas, Texas. The food has a SW flair and they definitely have great beer. The decor is beautiful, but comfortably casual. Also try the Buckhead Diner. Also, can't think of the name of it, but it has a 100' copper fish in front of it. It is excellent and they too have beer.
