We ate at Thai Chilli just last week (for 1st time). Service for us *was* slow, but not horribly so. And IMHO it was by far the *best* Thai food I've had anywhere it Atlanta! Most of the stuff is just oozing with oil, swimming in grease, and utterly gross. This was delicate, sublimely well balanced, beautifully presented food, and in a very pleasant room. We waited too long for our entrees, but when I told our waitress I was passing out from hunger, she brought us one of their Thai salads, which we shared. Contrary to Mitch Goldman's experience (posted here), I loved the place and will definitely return. Although I must say, I understand his anger over such a bad experience, and if he finds other Thai restaurants w/ just as good food...well, I'd certainly like to know where they are, because it was excellent...again, IMHO. BTW, I know several others who (independently) really loved the food there too, including the restaurant critic for the Atlanta Constitution. --Pama Mitchell

I agree the food is great, but not worth the trouble...here's two places I recommend, both with far better service... HOT PEPPER THAI on the corner of Lennox and LaVista (the original chef is the guy who started THAI CHILI, but the new chef's every bit as good) and of course, SURIN, in Virginia Highlands. And, we did have a previous meal at THAI CHILI where the service was slow, but tolerable. It only takes one REALLY bad experience to turn us off forever. And as I said in my previous post, it wasn't just the service...it was the lack of any reaction to our problem that pissed me off... NEVER AGAIN!
