In regards to the message asking for sushi tips in NY:

1) just went to Hatsuhana at 17 E. 48th St. cuz it was highly recommended by a rich exec/sushi lover. very good stuff and even fish flown directly from japan that costs an arm and a leg. kanpachi was one such amazingly succulent sushi, at $3 a piece. otherwise prices were on the high end of regular. highly recommend it.

PLEASE EXPAND YOUR SUSHI LIST TO OTHER CITIES> Im always testing out sushi places when travelling out of town and it would be really nice to go to trustworthy/recommended ones. Here's a bit of help to start:

1) Atlanta, Ga.: Two outstanding sushi places in Buckhead are Suntory on Roswell Rd. and Nakato on Cheshire Bridge. Suntory has a $8 lunch special which is filling. both have well prepared fish at decent prices and plenty of Japanese customers. Nakato also has some novel sushi concoctions, like the spider roll, rainbow roll, etc. Skip Miki's in Buckhead, too artsy fartsy of a presentation with low quality and poor taste. Masa in Sandy Springs has very artful presentation, fair prices and good taste. Never ever go to Ru San on Piedmont Rd. in Ansley. They serve five zillion kinds of sushi, including with walnuts, and clearly have no clue how to prepare even the most basic sort. The prices are cheap. I found out why: getting sick the next day.

2) Auckland, New Zealand: Seketei on Queen St. quick conveyor belt, quaint rock garden, quite affordable prices and deliciously fresh fish. most customers are right off the plane from japan. best sushi down under.

One restaurant in Atlanta that was forgotten on the list is a place called Sushi Huku. It is off of powers Ferry Road in the same shopping center as the Mardi Gras (most men will know where that is !). This same shopping center is behind Rio Bravo and the Holiday Inn.
They have real good sushi as reasonable prices. It is not tready
or tacky. Also, there is a place on Medlock Bridge Road/Rt 141 that has all you can eat Sushi (and other japanese food) for 20$ per person.
