Mrs. Wilke's Boarding House. Haven't been there myself, but my brother lives there, and he always takes people there. I think more for the experience than anything else. I think they make you take your own dishes to the kitchen, and they serve family style. Savannah, GA
need Savannah, Georgia recommendations
My favorite is the Olde Pink House. Be sure to go to the cozy bar in the basement for a drink beforehand. An excellent choice in Savannah is "The Lady & Sons" for genuine, southern cooking. Definately good stuff. One tip is to arrive mid-afternoon, after most of the voluminous lunch crowd has dispersed. Or call ahead for a dinner reservation. JCP wrote: > My favorite is the Olde Pink House. I could not agree more about Mrs. Wilkes' Boarding House. It is a n experience that you will never forget! Be aware that they are only open on weekdays.
