Chinese Restaurants in Atlanta

If you ever wish to make the trek out to Athens, Georgia try the Peking restaurant off the Atlanta Highway. There's also one in East Athens. These are the only two restaurants in this chain. It's the best Chinese food I have ever had. I used to go there for lunch and go through a pot of their excellent hot tea and eat their Peking Chicken. I haven't found Peking Chicken anywhere in NoVirginia. If anyone knows of a place that makes it locally, lemme know?

I second Cat's recomendation of Peking. (I have to have it at least once

a week...it's really that good.) My favorite is their General Tsu's
chicken...which is much like the Peking chicken.
For anyone visiting the Athens area, who likesgood Chinese food, this place
is a must. Both locations are run by the same family, and I have heard that
the chefs just rotate through the two restaurants. Their hot and sour soup
is good, and the Egg Drop is made with a clear broth, rather than the thick
style that i've found (unfortunately) in many 'Chinese' restaurants.
Lunches are a good deal...@ $5 for soup, entree, egg roll (these are not
the best, i must admit) and, of course, all the hot tea that you might
ever care to drink.

goodness, now i'm craving it....*sigh*

According to my experience, I like Hu Nan which is off Baxter street. Their hot and sour soup is very good and I think their best dish should be "Happy Family". It really tastes so good. I have introduced this resturant to a lot of my American friends and co-workers and most of them love it a lot... So, I think anybody comes to Athens, should try Hu Nan....
