Try Pano's & Paul's, the Pleasant Peasant, The Abbey, Coach and Six. There have also been rave reviews in justabout every paper and magazine in Atlanta about Azalea, which I believe is owned by the Pano's people. Any of the Peasant restaurants are good, not too expensive, and busy, so make reservations. Also, for something unusual and rather fun, try Dante's Down the Hatch in Underground Atlanta. It is fondue, and the food is as good as you cook it yourself. There are two parts of the restaurant - one features a jazz combo and the other features a piano bar. You can get out of there for under $100 a couple unless you drink alot. It is a very interesting place and since the tables tend to be very separate from the others, it is kinda romantic, too. Enjoy your trip to Hotlanta!!

One problem. None of the Peasant restaurants take reservations. They're also occasionally pretentious.

Other recommendations in Atlanta:

Kudzu Cafe on Peachtree near Piedmont in Buckhead. **** for $$
Best Bets: Catfish, Ginger Tuna Burger, Mashed Potatoes.

Sundown Cafe on Cheshire Bridge Rd. **** Spicey Southwestern
Everythings great except (IMO) Tres Amigos and Flat Enchiladas.
Eddies Pork, Waco Chili, and Memphis Babecue Tacos are favorites.
Tell Sharon (the hostess) that Scott & Erica sent you.
