About five years ago, a pizza place called Upper Crust was very good.

Entrees $8-15. Ask to sit in Tony's section, if he's there; the man definitely knows how to take care of you. In addition to the excellent food, they have several very good single malt scotches available (including Lagavulin, which is reason enough to go there). Although I've never been there, I hear very good things about Han To for Chinese. Larry Owen

It is on 3295 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, in between Buford Highway and Peachtree Road. Right around the bend from Honto's is the Chinatown Mall, on New Peachtree Road. There are two chinese restaurants there, Oriental Pearl and a new one that I haven't tried. I recommend both Honto's and Oriental Pearl. Service will be a lot better at Oriental Pearl. For Korean food, there is Pung Mie, 5145 Buford Highway. Great dumplings. For good Mexican, El Charro is the place, cations, 2581 Piedmont Rd. and 5000 Buford Highway. Cuban food, Coco Loco, 2625 Piedmont Rd. Hope these help. Pete Wung [email removed]
I'd recommend any restaurant in the Peasant chain: The Pleasant Peasant on Peachtree The Peasant Uptown in Phipps' Plaza The Public House in Roswell The Country Place in Colony Square Dailey's on International Blvd. downtown Any Mick's location in town (there are several). I've never had a bad meal at any of them, and the prices are quite reasonable. ======================================================================= Mike Reaser Obligatory Disclaimer: Hewlett-Packard I don't speak for HP. North American Response Center I barely speak for myself. Note to Olga: Beesley's of Buckhead is no more, but something (I forget the name) has taken its place, supposed to still be a wine-oriented place. More and more Atlanta restaurants are offering good selections of wine by the glass, by the way. And Olga, this city is still adding great restaurants every month. I know you live in Ohio now and may not be quite up with it all. For the latest of the greatest, try-- Brasserie le coze (in Lenox Square), started by the same chef/owner as Le Bernadin in NYC. Open for lunch and dinner, *classy* French food and the best list of French wines by the glass in town. (including Chablis, Montrachet...you get the picture!) Bacchanalia, on Piedmont near Peachtree in Buckhead. Such a hit, you need to make rservations well in advance Nava, new glitzy southwestern, on Peachtree where Resto des Amis used to be (ie, lovely room). Haven't been yet but am going next week--rave reviews preceed my visit, though. Horseradish Grill, new Southern out by Chastain Park. Great decor and ambience, interesting upscale southern cooking. Well I could go on but don't have the time! I'm moving to Ohio soon myself and I'm making the rounds of all these places (and more) over the next few weeks. --Pama Mitchell
