I wish I was there from about now to the end of the month. Actually if you don't want to drive for 8 hours just for the best poboy in the world, there's an ok cajun restaurant in midtown, next to the Stein Club. Like many restaurants in Atlanta, it's almost as good as places in new orleans, but not quite. It's on Peachtree St (ruh roh) and I think it's called the French Quarter Food Shop. If you go you must ask Missie to tell you one of her cajun jokes. Since you're from the Bay Area you should probably stay away from any asian or burrito places unless you really get a craving. For a variety of asian restaurants I'd drive down Buford Hwy and just pick something. For burritos.... well, forget it and wait until you're back. There were a few memorable barbeque places: dusty's, and fat matt's rib shack come in mind. Oh, actually Taco Mac's still got better buffalo wings than any place I've been to in SF. Also I would check out the food reviews in Creative Loafing, their free weekly (www.cln.com), which gives you an idea of where the latest better restaurants are. Good luck. will
