I can recommend two.

North of Tallahassee on the Fl./Ga. state line is a little place called J.B.'s (I cannot remember the highway number, but if you locate Thomasville, Ga. and Tallahassee, Fl., the highway (a state highway I think) that connects the two is the one. They specialize in shredded pork sandwiches.

Also on state highway 20 about 27 miles west of Tallahassee is a BBQ restaurant called Fat Herman's BBQ. It's on the corner of state highway 20 and county road 267 North. It's a little blue building in the middle of nowhere. They have BBQ sandwiches, but their ribs are awesome!

[I'm not sure if my posts are getting out. I would appreciate it if you would send me e-mail to confirm that I am actually getting out to the outer e-world. Thanks a lot.]

Buzzmo's BBQ, in Opopka (sp?), a not-too-far drive north of Orlando. Their motto - "This ain't no ordinary Q." My friends and I were trapped in Orlando for a conference once; decided to go out for breakfast with a very limited goal - find a locally owned, non-chain restaurant. 2 hours later it was lunchtime and we found Buzzmo's (not to far from Forklift World - what is it with ctrl FLA and the need to call everything -World?). Very good BBQ, and HUGE portions. We all had the combo plates - a sampler of everything. If I'm ever forced to go back to Orlando, I'll try to get back to Buzzmo's.
