We just returned from 5 days on Ft Myers Beach. Here's the review: The Bubble room on Captiva is worth the wait. We waited 40 minutes for lunch. The lunch serving closes at 2:30 pm and dinner starts at 5 pm. We arrived at 2:20 and were seated at 3 pm. The place is fun, crowded, and fascinating. Waitpersons in Boy scout uniforms, casual reasonable lunch, Giant desserts, Like getting a quarter of a cake. Allow plenty of time, they take no reservations, but its worth the wait.

On Fort Myers Beach, Anthony's is good for italian, food tastes great, a little brisk with the service, but worth it.

And Charley Brown's on FMB, great salad bar, Seafood, prime rib, ribs. We ate there twice in 5 days.

Specific questions gladly answered by email.

I disagree! The Bubble Room is a rip-off, mediocre food and jam packed. The Mucky Duck is a much better value-and it is on the beach.

i agree with Judy.. the place is pretty silly and cute but not the place to get good food. there is a little place right outside south sea plantation which is nice. onthe right just before the sharp turn. Can't recall the name tho.

Our Bubble Room experience was lunch also, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We certainly didn't go for gourmet food, but what we had was just fine. It's been a couple of years and we didn't have a long wait. I don't recall that the prices were prohibitive, and the atmosphere and the decor were well worth it. A lot of fun!

There is a place called the Green Flash where Timmy's Nook used to be and the locals tell me the best place to eat is the Sunshine Cafe, which is on the left next to the place with all the beach stuff hanging off the porch. South Seas Plantation has Chadwicks which is also good.
