A restaurant only three weeks old in Key West: Le Bistro, 1111 Duvall Street. Theresa (Swiss) goes to the market daily; Werner (German) prepares all sauces and entres from scratch each day. The "carte" is brief. Fixed price: 14 oz "melt in your mouth" NY Strip for $24.95 with a "secret" sauce, "original" French fries, a delicious bottom-less bowl of house salad, wine/beer/iced tea, and dessert (we had a peach melba with just the right touch of cointreau). Ala carte: chicken breast with a mushroom marsailles sauce for $9.95 and tuna steak for $8.95, each with fries. That's it, the whole fresh-that-day menu. The night we visited most clientele spoke German or French. Sure to be a success!
