Hi Josiah,

If you want a fun informal little place, head east to A1A then south to Deerfield Beach. Right where A1A makes a big turn just N of Hillsboro Blvd) there is a strip of stores. You want to go to the Whales Rib, on the N side.

Good seafood at good prices (I live a few miles S in Pompano Beach).

BTW, my pal Junior Popfinger owns a Mexican place across the street, Rattlesnake Jakes. If you want some cheap good Mexican, stop in there for a beer and some eats. Great salsa and guacamole.

For BBQ, *the only* place to go is Tom's. Best BBQ anywhere! It's on Fed. Hwy. Reasonably priced, and you'll want to buy some bottles of the BBQ sauce to take home w/you. For seafood, try Boston's in Delray (I think it's Delray). It's right on A1A, has a great view of the ocean. It's a little pricey (entrees are $15 and up) but is worth it. Just opened is The Cheesecake Factory on Glades Road. It's a chain but has great food, fabulous desserts - at least an hour's wait. Also on Glades Road is California Pizza Kitchen - also a chain, but very good. Inexpensive entrees with a lot of variety. Let me know if you need other suggestions.
