Try the Chowder Pot in Branford (between New Haven and Mystic) for fantastic seafood (reasonable prices) also, Carbone's in Hartford is about 45 minutes from New Haven and is one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten in. There is Pepe's and Sally's in New Haven for pizza, Bankok Gardens in New Haven for great Thai, Luciano's (there are three) along the coast for Italian, Seafood and Continental. Hope this helps. Can you tell I miss New England's food scene? What I wouldn't do for a Pepe's clam pizza.......
