we went there once, a few years ago. returns are infrequent because we live in boulder, and it is quite a haul from there.

however, we can recommend it highly for the game which we ate there. the buffalo, elk and venison were some of the best prepared game meats we have had. the general ambience is excellent, as is the view of the city lights through the windows (the fort sits up and southwest of denver.) all of the other parts of the meal were well prepared and enjoyable, but the game meats made the evening for us.

bring money, keep the fort green. it is not cheap, but we didn't feel cheated in the least.

I went there last summer and find it hard to recommend. It's very expensive and the food wasn't that good. The trout we had was overcooked and the buffalo, while good, should have been for the $30+ we paid for it. We also found our waitperson to be quite snooty, though that could have been an isolated incident. The friend I went with used to go years ago and loved it. He doesn't plan to go again either.
