It's an insult to call Casa Bonita either Mexican or a restaurant. This was the lost chapter from Dante's Inferno. If you like hordes of screaming kids, irritated parents, food that makes Swanson's Frozen Dinners look gourmet and enough plastic to qualify as a superfund site then this is the place for you.

Okay, it's the Las Delicias 2. The address is 50 Del Norte. Phone is 303-430-0422.

Okay. The Cherry Cricket in Cherry Creek has some dynamite traditional Mexican on its menu. Watch out for the sauces, though. They're incendiary! Luckily, the Cricket offers a zillion good microbrews to put out the flame. Inexpensive and traditional but in the trendiest shopping district. Also offers good burgers & other sandwiches.

Downtown La Casa de Manuel has great green chile, burritos, tacos.

El Taco de Mexico at 714 Santa Fe is worth a stop with great traditional menudo, tongue tacos, burritos and terrific beans.

Enjoy!
