I recommend McCormick's at 17th and Wazee near Union Station for seafood. The crab cakes there are pretty good and made by someone who has at least eaten crabcakes in Maryland or New Jersey (unlike a few other crabcakes I've had in Denver) and they usually have a reasonable selection of shellfish and fresh fish. (good seafood for Denver.) Guinness and a couple other good brews on tap as well.

China Terrace in Writers Square (just of Larimar Street) used to be pretty good and has dim sum Saturday and Sunday mornings. (I haven't been there in quite a while so I can't speak to the current state of fare.)

The Wynkoop Brewery has good food and a wide range of selections and good beer (for the most part). It can be very busy especially on weekend, though.

J's Noodles on S. Federal Blvd has good Thai food, not a lot of atmosphere, but good food.

(I moved out of Denver in January, so I'm not up on the latest additions to the downtown restaurant lists, but I used to frequent the above places and they produced consistantly good results over a number of years.)

Enjoy.
