I've lived in Boulder since 1968 and for a small town, it's got a lot of great restaurants. Here are some of my faves:

Zolo: Southwestern
Laudisio: Italian (reservations usually necessary) Antica Roma: Italian (on the Pearl Street mall) Royal Peacock: Indian Full Moon Grill: Northern Italian/New American Amuse: Creative Continental Wok 'n Roll: Fast food Japanese Chez Thuy: Vietnamese Mamacita's: Mexican (on the Hill) Sushi Zanmai: (duh)

The only place I've seen a jacket & tie lately has been a funeral.

Estes Park is a wasteland in every respect except for Rocky Mtn Natl Park. Great place if you like motorhomes, RVs, dirt bikes, dirtbags and hordes of couples wearing matching Disneyworld tank tops. However, the only decent restaurant is about 15 minutes outside of Estes in Pinecliff. La Chaumiere, it's German, go figure.

boulder: full moon, dandelion, triana, twisted vine, bocara, da gabi.

on the road (us 36) between boulder and estes park: villa tatra. we always stop there on our way back from estes park, in lieu of eating in estes park. it is about 20 minutes north of lyons. in lyons: gateway cafe.

:Thanks in advance.

basic requirement for almost all restaurants in colorado: shoes and shirts. this is not a joke.
