It's been a few years, but...

Mexican (you'll do better in Denver):
La Casita (fast but good)
Henry's in Manitou (great Mole')

BBQ...hmmm skip!

Others:
Piche's Stagecoach Inn ($$$)
Adam's (excellent!)
Any of the Broadmoor's Restaurants
Cheyenne Mountain (best brunch)

Deli's:
*Wooglin's*
Poor Richard's

Ice Cream:
Josh and John's (****)

: Mexican (you'll do better in Denver):

Senor Manuel's on North Nevada by Garden of the Gods road tops both of those...

Skip the BBQ? NOT! Try:
Lunch:
Howard's on Colorado Avenue, near 30th street.
Charlie's BBQ on Fillmore east of Nevada
Dinner:
B.F. Goodribs on Chelton south of Platte
Zeb's on 8th street, south of Cimarron

Broadmoor restaurants ALWAYS dissapoint me, I guess I expect too much.

: Cheyenne Mountain (best brunch)
Yes, it's good.

Friday or Saturday night recommendation:
Sheraton Inn, at I-25 and Circle drive. I might have the nights switched around, but on Friday, they have an INCREDIBLE seafood buffet. Saturday, they have the "Colorado" buffet, which is a beef buffet.

I visit CO SPGS annually. Best Mexican is Henri's in Colorado City. The Phantom Canyon Brewpub (I think that is the name) is across the street from the Antlers downtown and can be fun. Actually the pub in the Antlers may be as good as any!

I visited Phantom Canyon last month, and I found the beer to be excellent, although they needed more of a choice on the stout side of the scale. The food was quite good, but a little bit pretentious. The place was really crowded, and very loud. Those are just my two cents. Kristenn

Mexican Food

Go to:

El Taco Rey
330 E. Colorado Avenue

They have excellent mexican food. Try the Avocado Pork Burritos. ALso try the tamales. They have been there for 21 years.

The best/most authentic Mexican in town is Senor Manuels on North Nevada. Henri's is gross.

Phantom Canyon has the best brews in town, Antler's the worst. Antler's makes all their brews from extract since they don't have the floor space to put in a real brewery, and it shows.
