Great food, great service, and a view of the river & North Vancouver that can't be beat. BTW, It's where your cruise will probably kick off from. Enjoy!

It's a hotel restaurant trying to imitate a fancy East Coast establishment, and it's not quite as good or as convincing as what it's attempting to be. For a festive, authentic, Vancouver-locals-and-their-friends type of atmosphere, I like a place called Cin-Cin, right on Robson. It's best described as Pacific-Northwest/Italian. A great room, very good food (mostly cooked on an alder wood grill or in an alder-fired oven), friendly service and an excellent regional wine list. I'm not saying it's the best restaurant in Vancouver (that's probably Bishop's), but this is the place I'd take a group of friends before a cruise. -- Steven A. If you don't want to break the bank, try Tojo's specialties, a special section of the menu, and particularlyl Tojo's Tuna, a fabulous dish with raw tuna in a soy-based wasabi sauce. Wonderful, caring service, too. Another fun experience for seafood lovers is a trip to Sun Sui Wah, for whole fish expertly prepared (or crab or geoduck clams or....) They also make a fabulous Peking Duck. From [email removed] Mon May 31 17:45:10 EDT 1999 Article: 45338 of rec.food.restaurants

If you're not an overly large or rowdy group, my favorite Vancouver recommendation is Le Crocodile, downtown. We live in Seattle and get to Vancouver about once every two years and this place is always on our schedule. Fantastic food, great service.
