Hi Jay;

Vancouver has too many great restaurants to list, but one great source of information is Vancouver magazine's website - www.vanmag.com/9702/9702.html lists the 1997 restaurant review winners in every catagory except Jewish. The restuarants listed really are the best in Vancouver. The best Jewish deli's IMO are the Squished Knish and Kaplan's, both on Oak St. But Kaplan's is about a 20 min drive from downtown (where I presume you will be staying).

Cheers, Jay

Jay - There are some wonderful Italian restaurants in the downtown area not far from the theatre. Umberto's Il Giardino is great, and Umberto runs a number of other restaurants, too, all good.

Rosie's on Robson is a Jewish-style deli located in the Rosedale Hotel, a block away from the theatre.

If you will be here for awhile and feel like venturing out of the downtown area, let me know and I'll send you some suggestions. A lot of great places are out of the downtown core but not that hard to get to. Hope you enjoy your stay.

Mary
