The Glebe is a wonderful area of town. It has several cute unique shops and cafes. Mexi's doesn't have a view and doesn't look like much from outside but it's a lively, friendly place and has great Mexican food and the best Marguritas in town. Also in the Glebe is a bus/diner set up at the corner of Bank and Third with a couple of outside tables. A definite must if you like Lebanese food. Both of these places are very casual and quite inexpensive. Have a great visit. On 27 Aug 1996, Robert G. wrote: > Looking for inexpensive and casual places to eat in Ottawa. For about $19 (Canadian) I had steamed mussels in a vodka sauce, broiled salmon, salad, and dessert. They also put sourdough bread on the table and shorten the wait for your food by giving the table a starter of a wonderful mackerel pate. Service was great, we ( a party of six) had to get back to our hotel to attend an evening seminar and the waitress took our order while we were on line, waiting for the table, to help us out. Bon appetit. Barbara Leckstein
