Nova Scotia Dining

Will be travelling to Nova Scotia in early July. Will spend the first week-end in Halifax and then drive to Cape Breton for 4 or five days staying in Inverness, Baddeck and Louisbourg before heading back to Halifax for a further week.

Any dining suggestions would be appreciated.

Last time to the Maritimes (six or seven years ago) we really enjoyed da Maurizio's in the Old Brewery building in Halifax and Newmans (sp?, may be Neumans) in Annapolis Royal. The latter had a terrific wine list especially after going to restaurants which usually only stocked Jost wines from N.S.

Robin, thanks ever so much for the collection of food related posts on N.S., they were very entertaining. I loved the comments about Camille's. Have not been back to the greasy emporium since law school in the '70's and usually when there I was (to use a prison term) in "a state other than normal". Certainly agree with the comments about Newmans in Annapolis Royal. During our last trip back to the Maritimes in 1990 had a superb meal complemented by some fine wine.

Thanks again
