Re: Niagara Falls On the Canadian side of the Falls, all of the gov't run restaurants have great views and palatable food, the best view being from Table Rock restaurant right at the horseshoe falls. The (also govt run) restaurant at Queenstown Heights has a great Sunday brunch with a view of the gorge and, on clear days, Toronto. There's a new chef at the Minolta Tower, high above the Falls, and the food is now quite good. Edith is a wonderful server there. The best food qua food I've found in the area is at the Prince of Wales in Niagara on the Lake. Reserve for the Garden Room. Inventive cuisine, though I have to sadly admit IMHO the execution is not what it was several years ago. Extremely good wine list, especially of Canadian wines. It's a delight to eat here in conjunction with going to a play at the Shaw Festival down the street. If not going there, reserve for about 8 pm and you'll virtually have the place to yourself. Chuck

Niagra Falls and Toronto reccomendations

We have eaten there a number of times in the last few years, usually on our way through town to Canada, and always find the food and service outstanding. They have a reasonable wine list, which is not terribly inflated in price. When in town, drive by and look it over; looks like an English carrige stop. If the menue is to your liking, sit on the porch (enclosed) rather than inside, because you can see the Niagra river rushing by. Regards, Rob.
NNTP-Posting-User: pld Hi, On The Twenty in Jordan is wonderful! It is set on a hill overlooking a creek, so get a window seat if possible. Reservations are definitely recommended, since it is always full. The food is French/Continental style, and is very good. And they have a winery next door, so have a good wine list. Dinner for two will cost about $100 Canadian. Jordan is about 20 minutes north of the Lewiston/Queenston bridge, near the QEW. The restaurant will be happy to give you directions if you call them. Their phone # is 905-562-7313, and the address is 3836 main street, box #53, Jordan, ON l0R. Pat
