Must share with you the great news of a new and wonderful Chinese restaurant at 343 Spadina Avenue, Toronto. SAM YUET is the name and they specialize in seafood. We've eaten there twice (this week!) and are absolutely thrilled with the care in preparation and the freshness of the ingredients. They are presently offering a 10% discount as a grand opening special. This is a personal recommendation. We are in no way affiliated with them. I did say I was going to tell everyone on the internet and I'm not sure they knew what I was talking about. Just tell them you read about it on the internet. Give the newbies a break - they deserve it! You'll see. The phone number is: 506-9867 They take VISA. Don and Linda in Toronto [email removed] your comments are welcome

I had an amusing picture : of someone somewhere in another Toronto trying to find Spadina Avenue. :-) : For those not from Toronto, Ontario, Canada ... Spadina is a : bustling ChinaTown ... lots of cheap, good food, and a few fancy : places, too, not to mention all kinds of stores. Definitely : a must-visit if you live here, and if you have the time when you're : visiting Toronto. : Thanks for the recommendation, Linda. How good are they at following : instructions to use very little oil in the stir-fries? I was at : the Spadina Garden on Spadina this weekend, asked for "no oil or : *very* little oil in the dishes I ordered, and was served dishes : swimming in oil. I won't be going back, although the food was : quite tasty. : Maya Kurup [email removed] I've been back a third time and I still think it's great. Not only is the food not greasy - but I have found them wonderfully flexible about how they prepare things. For instance, I asked Sam to prepare the egg rolls like they do in New York with shrimp and bbq pork mixed with the vegetables and HUGH in size. You would not believe they gorgeous egg rolls we had yesterday. I bet if enough people showed an interest in this item, Toronto would finally have a world class egg roll preparation to add to its lures. Linda in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, North America! :-)
