That's interesting to hear, because I've never understood what the attraction was with Tony & Alba's. Sure, they make good pizza, and it's of an identifiable style, but it's not *that* good. Nonethless, the place is one of those old Mountain View culinary institutions like El Calderon and El Zarape (RIP) and Frankie & Johnnie's. Go figure. I noticed that there's a Tony & Alba's in Scotts Valley. Has anyone tried it? I recently moved to Boulder Creek and was pleased to find an icon of Mountain View in the area, even if it isn't one that offers a transcendental dining experience. > where are the good pizzas today? The best pizza I've ever had was at Windy City Pizza, on El Camino near 92 in San Mateo. Pizza Chicago is a close second. Geoff

I'm trying to be kind, but I just don't get sour dough pizza crust. The sauce is a bit bitter for my taste, but they did put a goodly amount of cheese on the pie, which I've found unusual in the bay area. Is everyone here so anti-dairy that we can't have cheese on pizza? Isn't weather relative?
