Thai lunch buffet

The earlier thread, and a recent visit, got me thinking I should mention the only Thai buffet I've had in the bay area that I like: "Jan Thong" in the Northgate mall at the north end of San Rafael (Terra Linda exit). This walk-up is located in the food "ghetto," surrounded by franchise eateries. They open at 11 a.m. "Jan Thong" really does quite a good job, and the price is right: while there are entrees, the happening thing is the plate-lunch style special - any two *or* three items, over a generous portion of rice. The price is $5. They do aü nice tom kha gai, which comes in a separate bowl. Other favorites are the eggplant/basil dish and any of the curries. They have various condiments, and Thai iced tea for $1.25 for a big container. Not gourmet Thai, but tasty, fast, and a good value.
