I did go to pyramid last Saturday and found the food lacking and tried the IPA and the nut brown ale. Liked the IPA didn't do a jig over the NBA. > > <snip> > > 20 Tank runs the entire gamut from consistent to > inconsistent. Sometimes it's completely fabulous, other > times it's boring at worst. I'll go try the beer @ TwentyTank but I really would like to find a brew pub in SF that serves great food with great beer. One usually outshines the other. My SO doesn't like beer so when we go to a brewpub she likes good food and a good wine list (I'm happy with most beers and a burger). My question really is "which Brewpubs in SF are the most well-rounded?" This plays really big into what brewpubs we frequent together: Here is the list of BPs that we go to in in terms of food, beer, prices and service averaged out. Number one being highest or best and each datapoint being graded 0-10 (and yes I can be very AR about this sort of thing): 1. Los Gatos brewery in LG of course 2. Faultline in Sunnyvale 3. Gordon Biersch in San Jose 4. Tied house in San Jose 5. Sudwerks in Chico 6. Pyramid brewing in Berkeley 7. The "bear" place right by Moscone center (sorry, can't remember the name) in SF 8. Rock bottom brewery in Campbell 9. Stoddards in Sunnyvale (each time I gone there I've had a terrible experience related to the workstaff and management-so bad that I don't remember the beer or the food... I'm sure there are people that find them good though). I look forward to trying the other suggestions mentioned in this thread. We'll try it but it's a shame about the brew... baiz
