San Diego and Santa Barbara recommendations?

 For San Diego, there are alot of places *both* you and the kids would
 like. The Corvette Diner is a must. It's a fifties style place with
 very good  food that is also reasonably priced. Planet Hollywood has
 (almost) decent food but prices are  on the high side of reasonable.
 If you can get the kids to eat them, the Shrimp Burritos at Fins are
 incredible (La Jolla, Mira Mesa, & Rancho Bernardo).
