For Montery:
Drive 15 minute go to Carmel downtown,
French Poodle is one of the top French in
the country. No cheap but fair price I think.

Sunnyvalve:
For fine atmostphere Chinese, Mandarine Gormet
on DeAnza (copurtino) is a good place.
Ikenohana is a fine Japanese restaurant.
Then there is Castro street in Mountain View
which has everything ...

Last night we visited The Palace on Murphy Ave. (at Washington) in Sunnyvale. Features "tapas" style dining, excellent and creative dishes. Housed in a former movie theater, the ambiance is unusual -- to say the least! And they start pulling up the tables (literally) at 9 p.m., turning the place into a giant dance floor. If you need later dining, ask for a table "upstairs" -- in what used to be the balcony. -- Tony
