More information about what you are looking (location, price, type) for would be useful, but here's a shot...
Pollo's is good, as someone already mentioned. They also make vegetarian burritos & taco salads. One of the things I like about Pollo's is the wide array of bottled hot sauces to play with. :-)
Little Garden is tasty and they have been running a 3 for the price of 2 take out special recently (I don't know if it is still on). Of course, you have to call ahead (and if you are willing to call ahead, I guess most restaurants qualify as take-out).
For inexpensive huge sandwiches, there is Togo's, in the 500 block of University (there is also one) near Little Garden. You should probably enjoy Togo's while you can, at least the one on University, because SubWay is moving in and could well kill Togo's.
[as an editorial note, one of the things I liked about Palo Alto when I came out here to start grad school in 1992 was the various little independent shops and eateries. The only "chain" in evidence was the Burger King (I didn't realize Togo's was a chain at the time). Now we have Noah's, Starbuck's and soon SubWay. Soon there will probably be a Wal-Mart on University!]
More stuff...
The Stanford Gourmet in the Stanford
Barn (located between the Stanford Mall and the
Stanford Medical Center) has fancier sandwiches in the $5 range. So does Little Mermaid on California.
If you want Mexican and are in the Menlo Park side of PA, you could go up to MexTogo in Menlo Park (on the foothills side of El Camino near the Guild theater). Big, cheap, tasty burritos.
Good take-out (or dine-in) rotisserie chicken with various traditional and not-so-traditional side orders can be had from Petaluma's in Town&Country at the corner of El Camino and Embarcadero. At least, it was good when I was last there a couple of months ago. I assume they are still open, etc.
For pizza, I happen to like New York Pizza in the 300 or 400 block of Hamilton street in downtown PA. They may even deliver, I can't remember.
